The first step to installing custom cabinets is obviously unpacking your tools. So the installers are getting started with a little showmanship and bring all of the necessary equipment they’re going to need to install the kitchen custom cabinets. For starters a couple of bags full of cordless tools, chop saw, an air compressor, a portable table saw, a ladder and just some portable hand tools that they will use to install the kitchen. Once the tools are unpacked, the cords are all ran, the air lines are all ran, and they have a good game plan you can get started on your custom cabinets. The custom cabinets have already been unboxed and inspected to create less stress for us on game day. They lay out the wall cabinets up against the wall where they are going to eventually be installed so we can keep track of everything. It’s just are way of staying organized while we’re doing these custom cabinets. Next the installer is going to measure more precisely which custom cabinets are going where and he starts with the wall cabinets. If this was an L-shaped kitchen then he would start in the corner and work his way out but because this is just one wall he can just go from one side to the other however he prefers. The refrigerator line in this house comes off of an interior wall and a pantry cabinet is in the corner. And that’s how you prep for your custom cabinets for further installation.
