Now to the finishing of the doors and drawers of the ash custom kitchen cabinets. I start by making the runners for the sliders. I cut some strips with the table saw, tack into place, then make sure it is square. I use a counter sink bit then came back with the screws. To hold the actual slider I use the clamp and the screws that came with it to attach it permanently. I repeated this process until all of the sliders were attached. It is very important that all of the sliders are in the same position on both sides. So I take my time to measure it. Next it's time to make the drawers for the custom kitchen cabinets. I start with a half inch sheet of plywood and cut it down using a circular saw. Then I cut the pieces to length using a stop block at the miter saw. I drilled pocket wholes and started assembling the drawer for the cabinet. After cut a bottom using a quarter inch plywood. Repeat for the amount of drawers for each custom kitchen cabinets. Then while installing the drawers I use a spacer and a kick stand to hold it in place. Then attached each sliders to the drawers of the custom cabinets. Once I have the front attached I pull the drawers out to make sure the spacer was still in place then attach the screws in the middle position. In order to screw in the back drawers to the custom cabinets, you have to pull the drawers out all the way as if you were going to pull out the drawer completely out. Then repeat until all the drawers are installed into the kitchen custom cabinets. Next the faces. Measure each section of cabinet. Then cut each piece accordingly. I'm going to start with the drawer sized sections first. I usually make it a little bigger place it up from behind the barrier of the cabinet then shave off little by little until it fits perfectly in place. Repeat for each side. Only give yourself about a 16th inch for space in between each gap. I glue and nail molding to the edges of each face to give it style. Next attaching it to the cabinet. I drill pocket holes on the inside of the cabinet then screw it down. I use glue to hold it down just long enough to come back around the screws. To make the doors I would do the same process. Because I am making a door that fits from the inside of the frame of the cabinet I will need an inset for the doors. I use a table saw to cut strips for the inside of the custom cabinets. I attached it using two screws. Then I drilled holes in the back of my drawers using a wide drill bit. Then I started attaching the hinges. I drilled in the screws into the back of the drawers of the kitchen custom cabinets. I used a sixteenth of an inch spacer at the bottom of the door. Then I was able to start attaching the door to kitchen custom cabinets. Once it was in place I went to the inside of the custom cabinet I start the screws with the drill but finish with a hand screw. Next glue and nail molding to the edges kind of like the drawers but to give it more style I also do this in the center of the door to. After you complete the carving the molding to the custom cabinets you nail it together.
