When I start on these custom cabinets I am going to have a total depth on my base of 12 inches. The back of the custom cabinets are going to be 22 and a half inches by full height 12 inches high just like the two sides because when you box it in to start putting together your custom cabinets you want that full height on all of the design. The back and the bottom should be the exact same width so when you put this together. Then you take your side and flip it up on the top of the box perpendicular to the other four braces. I am going to make sure I put it inside the edges and not resting on top. The reason why I do that is because I already have my measurements measured out for these custom cabinets. It would be better to go short than too long because you can always add more to it but it’s much harder to trim down wood in the final construction of the custom cabinets. As I can tell my board fits perfectly inside the box. The edge of the box is a total of eleven and a quarter inches and when I add the face on to it that’s ¾ of an inch wide you’re going to have a total length of 12 inches. So closing I glue the plywood or boards together to gain support before I tack or drill in screws behind the glue and that’s how I create the box for my custom cabinets.
