After you wipe on the polyurethane to your custom cabinets it’s not as thick as when you brush it on so you want to put on more coats but it dries very quickly and It leaves a really good finish. I really like the use of the wipe on poly. It’s much easier to work with it does drip as much as regular product on custom cabinets. Then I apply a coat of stain here and I’ll end up doing three or four coats of the polyurethane before we’re all done. I do like to put a couple coats on the custom cabinets then I start to work with the wood and I explain a little bit more. Now I am going to talk about my custom cabinets boxes. I get typically two types of plywood when I am building custom cabinets. I’m going to get a pre-finished maple plywood for the insert interior of the box and I’ll explain that in a second and then I get a cabinet grade veneered plywood which has the wood veneer of the wood that I want to see to match the face frame of the custom cabinets. In this particular instance the wood is cherry so I’ll get solid cherry stock in order to make the face frame and this will be cherry veneer plywood rotary core plywood that I am using for my custom cabinets. It’s reasonably cheap you know with respect again to the whole cost of the custom cabinets because you’re making it yourself. It could be achievable but if you run into too many problems you can just call us to handle the installation of the custom cabinets.
