Next we are on to the section of attachment of the custom cabinets to my kitchen wall. I will start by screwing all three of these custom cabinets together. I cut these face frames out of solid wood. I’ll just glue and tack them in place. The top of my custom cabinets is just a sheet of plywood with solid wood frame around it. On my router table that I use to make cuts in my custom cabinets I’m making an OG profile along the edges of the entire false drawer fronts. Put the false fronts on the custom cabinets. I’m finding the center’s first. This hole is much wider than the screw that’s going to hold the knob on. This hole is the right size hole for the knob. I’ll hold it in place temporarily with the knob and that larger hole and the false front will let me position it right where it needs to be. I’ll put a little bit of glue on this and tack it in place. The board of the bottom of the custom cabinets can be attached without a knob because it doesn’t open and shut. The doors are just simple frames and panels. If you have read any of my past articles you know that it is my preference to use bright colors and working on transforming this bedroom into a crafts room for my wife is a great opportunity make it as bright and cheerful as possible. That completes this section on constructing custom cabinets.
