When you’re starting to lock down your wood custom cabinets and you have them in place you are going to want to secure them down with a staple gun. So you tack the custom cabinets down with a few staples then you have your blocking in place. What comes after that is I am about ready to start installing the drawer slides and all I have to do is just lay it catty corner from where you set up the base of your custom cabinets on the top of your jig. I like to keep it just a tiny bit back from the face frame but the great part about this contraption is once I lay it in place there is exactly where it needs to be. All I need it to do is just reach in and put a screw at the back and work my way up the custom cabinets to the front side and it’s perfectly lined up with my greater kitchen area. Okay so now that I have both of the door slides mounted. I went ahead and put four screws in each side which my professional opinion is to handle the cabinets with care while taking this step because it could throw off the whole custom cabinets alignment if you do it wrong against the wood-grain. There are other steps that you can be a little off with as a contractor I have made many mistakes but this is not one you want to ignore or it could ruin you custom cabinets.
