After you tape off the corner of your custom cabinets because you want to give them that antique look again we went with the med-grade custom cabinets. Now the reason why we put tape on our custom cabinets is so we can tell exactly what those custom cabinets looked like before you stained them and after you gave them their finishing coat of paint. I really appreciate how this batch of stain came out and I am really excited to see how our custom cabinets are going to turn out. Now that I have made my selection I am sure about that we want to make the preexisting custom cabinets match up with our new custom cabinets. However, I am not crazy about the handles that we have here I was going for more of a vintage look and these are more modern and or basic. So I chose out some different knobs that really bring out the color for my upcoming custom cabinets. Bronze is the color of the knobs that I am using. A simple step like that can really update your custom cabinets even though we’re going for an older look they will still complement the custom cabinets in such a way that brings them to that next level. Especially if you’re going to change the finish so once we take these off the preexisting custom cabinets we’re going to replace them with these bronze knobs. And to remove the handles is a very simple process all you need is a Phillips head screw driver and unscrew the handles of the cabinets and then you are ready to start demoing your custom cabinets.
